James 5:14-15

St. James offers us a profound pastoral instruction about the ministry of healing within the community of believers. He tells us that when someone is sick, they should call for the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well, and the Lord will raise them up.
